Caloundra Classic Car Show
Recently in Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast there was the Downunder Beachfest 2016 which is a showcase of retro cars. There were over 500 vehicles consisting of hot rods, classic cars, bikes and vintage caravans all pre 1983. Scratches Plus worked on one of these cars to prepare for the show. The car was a 1937 chevy coupe in a custom two tone beautiful colour scheme.
There were also muscle cars from the 60’s and 70’s era. The most common of these cars were the chevy camaro, the ford mustang and a cuda. These reminded me of the good times growing up in California when I had my 71′ camaro Z28 which was white with blue rally strips. These types of cars never seem to lose their appeal with the classic shapes, either muscular or beautiful.
There is nothing like the sound of a powerful rumbling V8.
The weather was perfect for the second Downunder Beachfest event, located in the main street of Caloundra with the backdrop of the Pumicestone Passage. Look out for the next Downunder Beachfest 2017.
